Together into the New Year: Kick-off 2026

What could be better than bringing all employees together?

For this year’s kick-off, we gathered at a very special location: the AFF in Affoltern am Albis. The spacious event venue, set in a former greenhouse, welcomes guests as a tropical indoor oasis. Lush greenery, soft lighting and an inviting ambience create a setting that encourages interaction and exchange. A location that perfectly matched this year’s kick-off event.

As tradition has it, the partners of our employees were also invited. Together with the attending sales colleagues from all regions, the entire REFCO team was present.

A relaxed aperitif opened the evening and offered time for conversation and personal encounters.

His outlook on new projects, operational priorities and the key topics of the coming year outlined a clear sense of shared direction.

The culinary journey then began. A colourful starter buffet introduced guests to Levantine cuisine: hummus, baba ganoush, stuffed vine leaves and freshly baked pita bread provided a flavourful beginning.

Those wishing to continue their culinary exploration found a wide selection at the Indian buffet. Butter chicken, lentil dal, as well as lamb and vegetable curries, accompanied by rice and flatbreads, delivered rich aromas and variety. Fans of classic cuisine were equally well catered for: a pizzaiolo prepared Neapolitan pizzas live in a wood-fired oven, drawing plenty of attention with his craft.

A tempting dessert buffet marked the grand finale, inviting guests to enjoy and linger.

As always, it was simply wonderful. Wonderful to be together. Wonderful to have time for personal exchange, hearty laughter and shared conversations. An evening that brings people together and shows what REFCO stands for.
